Do you remember, at school, when they told you unequivocally that Pluto was a planet… until one day… it wasn’t? ⠀
Well, under the radar… somewhere in a secret bunker… scientists have decided something about the colour PINK.⠀
⠀
Pink isn’t real. Pink doesn’t exist…. ⠀
⠀
If you think of the spectrum diagram… red is there… green is there... in between we have a bit of orange and yellow… and the gang of blues and purples are chillin’ at the end. Those colours are all bands of light that scientists can measure. They all exist (wipe the sweat from your brow).⠀
⠀
However, if you look at the rainbow, red is at one end… violet on the other and you can’t get from one side to the other without encountering the other colours along the way… ⠀
⠀
Pink, it turns out, can only happen if blue light and red light get together… One problem. They don’t get together. Pink is the colour our brain makes up when it’s lost for words… filling in the gaps… or is making all our colour wishes come true.⠀
⠀
Put simply, pink is just a pigment of our imagination.⠀
⠀
But tell me this SCIENTISTS… if pink doesn’t exist… what the flippin’ flip is going on with this door!
